We need monetary donations, but you can also support our organization by donating food items, kitchen items, and gently used items for our thrift store. All donations help make a difference.
Sometimes just offering a person a kind word and a smile can change their life forever. Volunteering at the VAC gives you the opportunity to provide hot meals and nutritional support for our neighbors in need.
If you need to complete community service for your school or other organization, we maintain records and provide referral letters.
If you're never worked a job or need experience to qualify for a new job you can gain experience here. Our thrift store provides retail experience and our Community Kitchen provides food service experience.
In 2018 our volunteers provided 14,383 hours of service in our Community Kitchen, Food Pantry, Thrift Store, Donation Area, and through our food drive and Christmas Programs.
Our thrift store is our #1 source of income. By shopping you get great deals and provide income, so Gordon County residents have access to food and emergency resources.
